We have already looked at both the iOS and Android versions of this app, but now we are focusing on the Windows Mobile Carbon Poker app.
Many people from within the poker industry will likely have a fond recollection of Carbon Poker as at one point they were not only one of the biggest, but the best online poker rooms going. Times change however, and these days they are much more low-key, especially in terms of player numbers. A feature the company have always had is innovation and this is something that they defiantly haven’t lost in today’s market. Whilst mobile poker is the not the new sensation it was, it’s still pretty raw compared to online poker ranks and the inclusion of Carbon introducing their app to the Windows Phone platform is just another stepping stone for the company.

PROMOTIONS
New users to the Carbon Poker app can take advantage of the $5,000 first deposit bonus that they have on offer. This is easily one of the biggest we have seen and isn’t all that difficult to clear. To qualify you need to make a deposit of $25 or more and once you’ve done this, Carbon will double this amount up to a maximum of $5,000. Essentially this works out as a 200% match on all deposits over $25 and to claim the maximum bonus a deposit of just $2,500 needs to be made.
Clearing is pretty easy going, compared to some. You will need to earn 150 VIP points for every dollar of your bonus amount. The bonus will be released in increments of $10 which means that for every 1,500 VIP points you earn, a $10 increment of your bonus amount will be deposited directly into your account. Please note that side games such as roulette, blackjack and video poker do not count towards the clearance of your bonus.

We always like to take into account how well a poker app looks when compiling these reviews and we must say that first impressions of Carbon Poker are excellent. The design looks super modern, really smooth, no pixilation and the black, grey and iron colours make it look gritty and cool. In fact, we may even go as far in saying that this is possibly the best looking app we have come across. The fact that it’s been targeted at the US market makes this even more satisfying as they often get left with some pretty poor looking poker apps, to say the least!
The first screen you come across will be the quick seat page where you simply check in your stakes and the type of table you want to sit at before being thrown straight into the action. This is ideal if you’re familiar with the app and just want to dive straight in, but for those of you who are new to the Carbon Poker app may want to take a look around first and get your bearings.
If you are familiar with online poker then you should get to grips pretty quickly with Carbon Poker’s lobby. You can edit the lobby to show you the information that’s important to you and also sort by stakes, game types and table sizes. It will open up the games that are running, which we must mention are pretty solid. The benefit to Carbon offering up a Poker App is that they have a network of players already available meaning games are on the go around the clock. Besides no limit and fixed limit Texas Hold'em cash games, the app now also offers Sit & Go poker tournaments.

VERDICT
We have been locked in discussion all week to decide if Carbon has the best Windows Phone poker app on the market, and in all honesty we could find very few to rival it. The app just feels so polished and the fact that all this is open to the US market makes it even more appealing.
There were a few niggles in the form of lack of notes at the tables and the range of games on offer could potentially be a little more diverse, but as we said, they are niggles at most.
The positives massively out way the negatives with Carbon and we would happily recommend this app to anyone and everyone who wants to play mobile poker on a Windows device.
