Poker King is the most popular Windows Mobile free to play poker app on the market at the minute. They have over 17,000 reviews with an average 5/5 rating across the board. The reason why it’s become so popular is the fact that there is so much to do on the app.
It’s probably best known for its range of both ring games, tournaments and sit and go games. Most apps generally offer just one of the other, so it’s good to see a strong mix. We also liked the fact you could link the app up to your Facebook account to not only play private games with friends, but also so you can sign in and keep any chips you might have won. Progress will be saved to your SD card on your phone, which is a surprisingly scarce feature within the industry.
The app also looks and functions great on your Windows Mobile but we will say that if you are on smaller screens then it will feel a little snug after you have taken your seat. All in all, we can see why this has become so popular amongst so many people.

TEXAS HOLD'EM POKER - FREE
The Texas Holdem app is another of the more popular games, but doesn’t quite have same appeal as the Poker King game above. First off you get about 1,100 positive reviews with an average rating of 4.5/5 stars on the Windows Mobile app store. There are some downsides to this app though, of which we will come to.
The app doesn’t provide any player to player competition, so you can’t play against your friends, although they do include a very sophisticated AI system which gradually increases with difficulty as you move up the ranks. The app is set out a bit like a task master where it will ask you to try and perform certain plays at different times in a game. This might be a bluff, raise, all in or a series of other actions. The better you perform each move the more chips you will win.
It’s quite a basic app to be honest and is defiantly designed at those starting out in the game. It works better as a tutorial more than anything, but if that’s what you are looking for then there are few better. A couple of gripes have come from the few crashes we have had which has resulted in us losing a substantial number of chips. We’d guess this to be quite rare but reading some of the reviews from the Microsoft store, we have found we aren’t alone in this.
